90 Brazilian women are selected to participate in Academy for Women Entrepreneurs

June 21, 2023 : The U.S. Embassy and Consulates, in collaboration with the +Unidos Group, have recently revealed the names of the 90 exceptional women chosen for the third installment of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE 3.0). This program, established by the U.S. Department of State, provides women entrepreneurs opportunities to fortify and expand their businesses. The chosen participants hail from 24 different states in Brazil and the Federal District. The intensive four-month program is scheduled to commence on June 26.

AWE aims to equip women entrepreneurs with specialized training focusing on harnessing their economic potential and establishing conditions conducive to enhanced stability, security, and prosperity for their businesses. Drawing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management resources at Arizona State University, the program is rooted in the highly regarded 100 Million People Impacted course: Global Intensive Course in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

AWE forms part of the Global Women’s Development and Prosperity initiative, sponsored by the White House. This initiative strives to empower and uplift 50 million women globally by 2025. By providing targeted support and resources, AWE endeavors to create a conducive environment for women entrepreneurs to thrive, thereby contributing to the larger goal of promoting gender equality and fostering economic growth.
