She emphasized the United States’ gratitude for the longstanding partnership and friendship with Morocco.

She expressed her eagerness to take this story back to the United States and explore more opportunities for mutual learning.

Accompanied by her daughter Ashley Biden and her sister Bobby Jacobs, Mrs. Biden’s visit to Morocco is part of a broader tour encompassing the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. The objective of the tour is to promote the well-being of women and youth worldwide, particularly in the areas of education, health, and empowerment.

This visit marks Mrs. Biden’s second trip to Morocco, the first being in 2014 when she accompanied President Joe Biden, who was then the Vice President of the Obama administration. They attended the 5th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) held in Marrakech in November of that year.
