Nhatthuy Tiffani Calix, Founder of Wigs By Tiffani, is Helping to Normalize Hair Loss with Every Wig

April 19, 2023 : More than half of women will experience significant hair loss at some point, and the psychological effects can be profound. Nhatthuy Tiffani Calyx, a hairstylist and founder of Wigs by Tiffani, experienced postpartum hair loss after the birth of her third child. Embarrassed and self-conscious about her professional image, she turned to wigs to conceal her hair loss. She eventually decided to post about her experience on Instagram, which led to increased orders for her custom wigs. She left her salon business to focus on her wig business full-time just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit, allowing her to work from home. Tiffani’s business grew rapidly, and she used social media to connect with women suffering from hair loss related to various medical conditions. She also began making and donating wigs for children experiencing hair loss, with a GoFundMe campaign raising over $20,000. Her philanthropic efforts continue, and she has recently launched a scholarship for children with hair loss to attend college. Tiffani hopes to normalize hair loss and help her clients feel beautiful both with and without their wigs.
