June 15, 2023 : Dr. Nadine Alameh, CEO of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), has been awarded the prestigious 24th Annual Women in Technology Leadership Award in the Non-Profit and Academia category. This esteemed accolade recognizes women who exhibit exceptional leadership qualities and have achieved remarkable success in non-profit organizations or educational institutions.

The Women in Technology’s Annual Leadership Awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate female leaders who align with the mission of advancing women in technology across various fields, from academia to corporate industries. The awards inspire colleagues, partners, and the wider community by honoring these accomplished professionals.

Amber Hart, President of WIT and Co-Owner/Founder of The Pulse of GovCon, emphasized the significance of these awards, stating, “Recognizing the success of these women provides a vision for current and future leaders of what is possible with determination and focus and highlights the role of mentorship and sponsorship in building a successful and meaningful career.”

In their nomination letter, Jeff Harris, Chair of the OGC Board, along with Vice Chair Prashant Shukle and Board member Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse, praised Nadine’s exceptional leadership on a global scale during a transformative period for the Open Geospatial Consortium and its 500 members.

The 24th Annual Leadership Awards were presented at a Gala on May 18, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA, USA, acknowledging Dr. Nadine Alameh’s outstanding contributions and leadership in technology.
