What Effective Leaders Do Differently

(A process to develop conscious leadership)

Imagine waking up with so much energy and zest for life that you  are unrecognizable.

You feel confident and empowered and when upsets happen you just roll with it.

“Being busy” is not even part of your vocabulary because you make it ALL work with grace and ease. You are the type of leader that expands your plate and NEVER sacrifices time for you or your family. You know the secret to your success is being true to you. You make the rules and everyone around you follows suit.

Does this sound impossible? IT’S NOT.

All the tools are available for you.

The question is this: Are you ready to lead the way in work and life?  Or do you want to keep running on the hamster wheel “Wishing” for the day when you could take time for yourself.

If you answered, “I’m ready!!” Then listen up! You are in the right place. I am giving you the transformational leadership process that took me from mediocre leader to world class leader earning 4 global business awards and speaking on global stages. This system has supported 100’s of leaders, just like you and will literally shift your view of what it means to be a leader!

There is one caveat. It is not a “Do it for you” process. You GET TO BE  willing to DO THE WORK. It’s not fairy dust. It takes something to get out of your way and let go of old habits that served you well in the past.

I promise you this: Those old habits won’t serve you in your next level of leadership.

Let’s face it, you are not stuck. You are a high achiever. You get results and are in action AND if you’re willing to be honest, chances are you are sacrificing family, relationships and yourself in the process.

It’s not your fault. You’re passionate. You are excited. You love what you do.

What if…you can get it all done and make time for you?

What if…you could make time quality time for family and BE present  too?

What if… you can have it all and have the experience of working less?

Would that be worth exploring?

When you open yourself to what’s available for you and you take new actions- magic happens! And the action I am talking about is not more work- it’s inner work.

Why am I giving you the keys to the kingdom?

I know what it’s like to work 12 hours a day and feel like I had to sacrifice dinner with my daughters.

I know what it’s like to feel frustrated when a family member asks you to stop working.

And I certainly know what it’s like to feel like your family and friends don’t get your work ethic and drive.

I’ve been there and it cost me my sanity, my health and my relationships until a major upset forced me to stop and reevaluate myself. I realized that I had no idea how to slow down and I was slowly losing myself. I realized this:

Success means nothing if we lose ourselves in the process.

I want you to see what may be hiding from your view and I want you to HAVE IT ALL. Time, money, freedom, ease and flow in ALL areas of life. You work hard and you deserve to take time for yourself. Let me show you how.

Here are my 3 steps that will have you slowing down so that you  can speed up and be a true leader in your life and work.

Step 1: Shift your Habits to free up space in your mind and time

  • Seems simple right? First, start looking at the game you want to play. Aren’t games way more fun than goals? This game should be worth playing. Look at the one area of life that you would love to shift some habits that are getting in your way. Lock that in and write it out. Make it really clear and measurable. Be honest with yourself, the one thing you want is likely the one thing you don’t want to take on. The fact is, how you do the “One thing” is how you do all things. So be courageous and don’t let your time story get in the way. Create a structure to make things flow.
  • Look at your health habits. If you’re skipping meals, eating on the go or binge eating, that will catch up with you. Begin to see food as nourishment and your friend. You get to make time to eat. You will not only feel good but you will set a good example. That’s leadership. If you eat well already, good job! How is your exercise?

Step 2: Be an observer of yourself and be open to shifting patterns

  • True leadership is observing yourself, shifting and pivoting. It is knowing the ins and out of your personality so you can see the reflection in others. You are already the person you visualize to
  • Your weight does not define you. The life you are living does not define you. Your job does not define you. Who are you destined to become?
  • You also have an inner rebellious child that comes out every so often. You like to dig your heels in and get heard. Why? You have human needs of love, significance, contribution, personal growth, certainty and uncertainty. When you are conscious that your needs are driving your behavior you can start to shift. What needs are not being met that have you working so much?
  • If you are human you are likely to sabotage in some way. Becoming aware of when you are setting yourself up for failure or setbacks and learning to shift your patterns will have you saying, “Bye bye sabotage”. Leaders act with integrity and are true to their word.

Step 3: Be willing to let go of the old version of you and experience transformation

  • Transformation: An extreme, radical change. Be willing to experience this. It is beautiful and magical and I know this: You are definitely not broken and don’t need to be fixed and you aren’t changing and you get to shift.
  • Stress. Oh boy. This is a big one. I am about to say something radical. STRESS is not real. Nope. It’s a story you make up in your mind, that gives you an experience and alters your body. Shift your stories, change your response and you create different outcomes. You get to be the driver, not your circumstances.
  • Comfort zones are anything but comfortable; they are just where humans tend to operate most of their life from. What’s yours? Striving without receiving? Processes without results? Being at the effect of other people’s choices? Pleasure without satisfaction? Living in agony (yup- it’s actually comfortable for some) or living in pure joy? We can get to pure joy and most people never get there. Will you be the one?
  • Personal Power. You give up our power all the time- to time, money, kids, bosses, spouses. Chances are you hold back your communication and you feel resigned to anything being different. Things can be different and you can create it by BEING the person to take the high road, letting go of the past andspeaking up. You are the creator of your life and when you seeyou can create anything- you step into limitless power.

Being a leader takes more than just workshops and training. It takes a deep knowing of yourself. It takes a willingness to become aware of the habits keeping you stuck. Leadership is an inside game and when you win that game, the rest is easy.
